We made it out

Penny finally took the girls out and about this week. We visited Papi at work and went out to eat lunch with him. The girls had fun running around the cubicles and making lots of noise. We also went to the doctors on Friday and Rosa and Angela have ear infections. Because of being in an orphanage they don't complain much because no one cared how they felt before. It is hard to know if they are sick so we have to be extra careful and observe more closely. We are glad that we took them in so that they can start antibiotics and get better. It has been quite the two weeks home and we are hoping that the next couple of weeks will not be as chaotic.

We also tried going out to Sam's club as a family and the Halloween decorations (which were life size ghouls with glowing eyes which scared me) were very scary and all the girls cried because of them. Taking young children into a store aparently is not safe anymore. As a parent you look out for dangers all the time but hope that taking your kids to the store won't frighten them. It is nice to see the world around us from innocent eyes who haven't been overwhelmed with all the scary stuff we have.

One funny story.........we were walking to the park last night with Penny's sister and her four children when we found a cicada laying on the sidewalk. We thought is was dead so everyone got down for a closer look. All of a sudden it started chirping and everyone screamed (even Brian) and jumped. Poor Angela cried and cried because she was scared while we were all laughing.
