Ready, Set, Go!

The last week has been a whirl wind. With time flying by we can hardly catch our breath until we will have our little ones in hand. Below is an abbreviated list of what we have been up to.
  1. A wonderful shower was thrown by Penny's previous boss, friends, and family. We received many fine things for the girls.
  2. Getting documents together to travel to Colombia. Making copies, copies and more copies.
  3. Purchasing plane tickets. It was too real to see the girl's names on their tickets listed as Angela, Laura and Rosa.
  4. Brian driving 2 hours to Colombus to get documents apostilled.
  5. Overnighting documents to Colombian consulate in Chicago for our visas.
  6. Sifting through some very needed donations of used clothing for the girls. We could still use some used summer clothes. To those who gave us some Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!
  7. Had our meeting with Julie to cover the entire trip from start to finish (2 hours long).
  8. Finding time for each other............lacking! We did manage to play in a kickball tournament on Saturday and have dinner with some friends, one of which is from Bogota!

We will be just as busy the next two weeks but are trying to find time to spend with God, each other and celebrating the joy of our adoption. We have also added a prayer list to the side column for those of you who would like to be our intercessors for the duration of the trip and homecoming. We can not express our gratitude and love enough to each of you.

Hello Brian and Penny! I don't believe that we have ever commented on your blog, but wanted to drop by and say that your children are beautiful and that we will be following along and praying for the remainder of your own journey as it unfolds! Much Love!
