There are a couple of conversations that we want to remember in the months and years to come and we often look back at the blog to relive some of those special memories. So one day we were talking with the girls about their Bible lesson from church. It was from Paul's letter to Philemon and involved a slave. The kids were interested in what slavery is and we tried to explain it the best we could at a 5 year old level. After explaining that slaves were owned by people, forced to do work and they did not have any freedom to do what they wanted...Laura looks at us and says "so we are your slaves". Somehow that made us realize that something was missing from our explanation or we are terrible parents.
Another conversation went something like this.....
Angela-"Will Papi be making coffee or sleeping in his bed tomorrow when I wake up?"
Mami-"I don't really know."
Angela-"My hypothesis is that he will be making coffee"
Mami-"Then you will have to check your hypothesis in the morning and see if you are correct."
I love it when my kids use big science words. We are also trying to get a video of Rosa's animal noises. She makes a great horse sound.
We have lots more pictures and comments to make since we have started school and just got back from our beach vacation!
