A Few More Bumps!

Well first off, for those of you who don't know Brian's humor that picture of the house with all the guys from the show "This Old House" is not ours. Most of you probably figured that out but we wanted to make sure that everyone knows we live in a small old house in the city.

Anyway, we have had some disappointing news this week. First, our beloved Ohio office of CHI is closing which is very sad. We are now working directly with the Colombia program in Oregon. Which is the main office for Colombia. We will definitely miss our friends here in Cleveland. We also found out that our paperwork somehow made it to the wrong place in Colombia, so we are still waiting to hear if these children could be ours. We are not sure what God has in mind but we are clinging to His promises and knowing that he is Loving and Good.

Praying for you! Do not be discouraged...the bumps in the road can actually make the journey more exciting! God is up to something! Keep the faith!

Penny,

My husband has that same shirt!! As Wendi said, don't be discouraged. It will all fall together and you'll be amazed at how the end result is. Have patience. I know it's hard...trust me I've been there.

I know this must be a tough time, waiting to see what happens. It seems so unfair to allow yourself to get so excited only to find out the paperwork didn't get to the right place! I will continue to pray for you that good news is right around the corner. And, by the way, both of the houses are great! ; )

Hey Guys,

I ran across a link to your blog on someone else's blog. We are in Bogota right now adopting our daughter. Just wanted to say "hang in there!" Anyone who has experienced international adoption knows it's not for the faint of heart, and there are always ups and downs, but the Lord has a plan for you and will work all of the "downs" for good! We'll be checking in and can't wait to see the wonderful surprises that God has in store for you.
