Our future tree huggers!

When we first became a family we wondered if these really were our girls because they were afraid of every living thing around them. Being the nature lovers we are, naturally we made plans to hopefully ease their fears. Well last week we were reminded that God definitely knows what He is doing. Our girls love fall and were very excited to rake leaves and jump into them without any fears. They also created a sculpture of old flowers and dirt that we left in our garden to compost. Seeing them dig in the dirt and play with rotten tomatoes really touched my heart and almost made me cry. They were easily enjoying themselves in the natural world without any prompting by us! They truly have a heart for nature just like their Mami and Papi! Look out next spring when the Uhlenbrock's go camping! We are still working on their fear of dogs and cats....but now we know that it will just take some time. We are recovering from a big birthday weekend and will post more on that at a later time so stay tuned.

Isn't it wonderful to see how time changes so much? Your girls seem to be getting more and more comfortable with all of the changes and fitting perfectly into your family. Isn't adoption a fascinating thing to experience!!??
